In New York, the Schott brothers opened their first manufacturing plant: their functional and durable clothing was an immediate success.
1928
Schott Bros. creates the Perfecto® for bikers, this model will change the codes of motorcycle clothing, bringing comfort and practicality. It is named in homage to Irving's favorite cigars.
1941
At the request of the US Army Air Force at the beginning of World War II, Irving Schott created a "bomber jacket" to protect pilots from the cold. Production of civilian jackets, including motorcycle jackets, was then suspended to concentrate all the factory's capacity on the manufacture of these military jackets.
50's
The Perfecto® became legendary thanks to Marlon Brando in “The Wild One” and James Dean in “Rebel Without a Cause”.
1966
In 1966, Andy Warhol created an iconic screen print of Marlon Brando wearing his legendary Perfecto®, entitled Four Marlons. This exceptional work would sell at auction in 2014 for $69.60 million.
1971
Schott launches the "Down - Prime Northern Goose" range, and its down jackets are a great success, gradually becoming accessible to a wider audience. Even today, down jackets represent one of the most important segments of Schott NYC®.

Mel Schott receives the American Designer Award from the Leather Industries of America.
1989

Thanks to globalization, the Perfecto® becomes a worldwide symbol of "American Cool". Japan and France become allies of the brand, where "Made in America" ​​products are the most coveted. Giancarlo Fisichella, Formula 1 champion from 1996 to 2009, made his Formula 3 debut with Team Ravarotto, driving a Dallara F392, sponsored by Schott NYC.

He achieved his first victory in the last race of the Formula 3 Championship, in 1992, on the Autodromo di Imola circuit.
